Turning the tides on child drowning

Stay current on water safety awareness:

Sabbatical

by Rebecca Wear Robinson on May 7, 2014

putting the pieces togetherI’ve been working to end child drowning without pause since 2007. Countless hours of research to understand the many puzzle pieces of this complex issue and even more hours crafting some of the components that are needed for a solution, including blogging every week.

I’ve reach the point where the next big leap forward will require far more intensive time and effort on my part and something has to give in order to free up that time.

Effective this week I will be taking a sabbatical from blogging. I’ll be back, and I may post the occasional blog, but for the next few months there will be no regular blogs posted on this site.

I will remain active on social media and would love to connect with you on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, or the Global Drowning Prevention Forum on LinkedIn. Using social media is a critically important piece in the drowning prevention puzzle and I believe we all most work to build and grow a cohesive network.

I hope that my blogging to date has raised questions, answered questions, or simply challenged the status quo. While I look forward to reconnecting in this sphere in the future, I am also every excited to focusing my efforts on consolidating all that I have learned over the last few years to move forward decisively with a plan to make a global impact.

Watch this space!
